All the Geisha trees at Finca Isabel trace their genetics directly to those rediscovered in Panama by the world-renowned Hacienda La Esmeralda, ensuring exceptional purity. This unique combination of genetics, sustainable farming practices, and meticulous attention to detail earned their very first harvest a 1st place award at the national auction in 2018.
Since then, Finca Isabel has become Bolivia’s leading name for Geisha coffee, and we are proud to support their unwavering pursuit of the highest quality.
The Rosario microlot, perched on an open mountain ridge and bathed in bright sunlight, produces Geisha beans we adore for their remarkable sweetness. Its vibrant strawberry notes harmonize beautifully with the variety’s signature intense jasmine aroma, creating an unforgettable cup.

Finca Isabel is nestled in the Loayza community, at an average elevation of 1,750 masl, about an hour from Caranavi, Bolivia. The finca is expertly managed by Fernando and Gabriela.
Fernando, hailing from a local coffee-producing family, refined his expertise in agronomy through studies at prestigious universities in Costa Rica and Honduras. His craft was further honed at Hacienda La Esmeralda in Panama, where he met Gabriela, who now oversees post-harvest processing with meticulous care.
Their shared dedication to quality and innovation is evident in how they operate Finca Isabel, employing some of the most advanced agroforestry techniques we’ve seen in Bolivia. The symbiotic relationship between their coffee plants and the surrounding environment is inspiring. Large birds roam freely across their microlots, occasionally enjoying the sweetest coffee cherries before harvest—a small price to pay for the biodiversity that undeniably enhances the exceptional quality of their coffee.

Sourcing directly at origin from small farmers, we are fully aware of the hard work that goes into the quality product we buy and the challenges their families face to earn their fragile livelihood. In this regard, coffee producing communities in Bolivia face additional challenges, due to the lack of infrastructure, financial support and difficult access to international freight routes. To fairly balance the relationship between roaster and producer we are price takers and as part of our long term commitment to a financially and environmentally sustainable coffee production in Bolivia, we factor these realities into the pricing.
For this 20Kg batch of specialty grade coffee, Fernando and Gabriela received 44,05 USD/Kg.
