We’re very proud to be able to share this coffee with you, as it comes from a project very close to our hearts. Year’s ago we met these farmers on our first trip to Caranavi and came back empty handed for not meeting specialty quality standards. Four years later we’re celebrating their surprising comeback thanks to a unique collaboration between Finca Isabel, the community and us. The result? A beautifully clean and complex filter coffee with notes of different stone fruits, floral hints, pineapple, bergamot and a lingering walnut aftertaste.

  • Grown at high elevation in the lush, secluded valleys between La Paz and Coroico, this washed Catuaí lot is the result of a unique win-win-win collaboration between four retired farmers, the dedicated team at Finca Isabel and us. Cultivated in small garden-like plots overlooking the iconic Death Road, these beans reflect both the beauty and complexity of their environment. With expert post-harvest processing and a shared commitment to quality by Finca Isabel, this coffee offers a clean, sweet cup with remarkable clarity—proof that excellence can thrive in even the most unexpected corners of the coffee world.

  • Sourcing directly at origin from small farmers, we are fully aware of the hard work that goes into the quality product we buy and the challenges their families face to earn their fragile livelihood. In this regard, coffee producing communities in Bolivia face additional challenges, due to the lack of infrastructure, financial support and difficult access to international freight routes. To fairly balance the relationship between roaster and producer we are price takers and as part of our long term commitment to a financially and environmentally sustainable coffee production in Bolivia, we factor these realities into the pricing.

    For this 60Kg batch of specialty grade coffee, Don Lucio, Severo, Rebeca, Flora and Finca Isabel received 11,01 USD/Kg.
